Ryan Pineda, PT, DPT, OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy
From an early age, Dr. Pineda truly embraced the competitive nature of sports and games. He learned the values of teamwork, leadership, and perseverance, all of which are important to a successful career in physical therapy. Throughout his athletic career, Dr. Pineda truly got to experience the joy of success, but also the heartbreak with loss and injury.
It wasn’t until after he sustained a midfoot fracture that he realized the importance and power of a good physical therapist. He strives to be an expert in the anatomy and physiology of the human body, which allows him to advocate for his patients in the healthcare world. He loves treating patients in an outpatient clinic because it poses him with the challenge of creativity while adapting to the uniqueness of each individual’s presentation. He vows to utilize the 3-pillars of evidence-based practice: research, clinical experience, and patient interests.
Dr. Pineda attained a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, in 2017 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2020. After obtaining his doctoral degree, Dr. Pineda finished Regis University’s Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy program in December of 2021 and earned his Board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Certification in 2022. He also enjoys teaching as an affiliate faculty professor for Regis’ School of Physical Therapy.
Dr. Pineda was born and raised in San Diego, California, and chose to trade the ocean for the mountains with his move to Colorado in 2017. In his free time, he enjoys camping, stand-up paddle boarding, attending sporting events, trying new breweries, and his newfound love for golf.
