Director of Clinical Excellence

Doctor of Physical Therapy
Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy
Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist Fellow-in-Training
Clinic Manager

Dr. Paul Bernard obtained a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2018. In addition to his extensive training at Regis, he completed a half-year clinical rotation at Integral Physical Therapy studying directly under Dr. Chris Edmundson. Dr. Bernard proved such a valuable asset to the company that he was hired immediately upon graduating and in April 2019, he became the clinic manager of the Thornton office of Integral Physical Therapy. Dr. Bernard has since achieved certification as an Orthopedic Clinic Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities and was accepted into Regis University’s prestigious Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Dr. Bernard received his bachelor’s degree in guitar performance from the University of Oregon in 2012 and worked as a guitar instructor for several years. It was a repetitive stress injury from practicing guitar, swimming, and rock climbing that led him to physical therapy. After experiencing great results with his own therapy, Dr. Bernard knew that he wanted to become a physical therapist to help others as his therapist did for him.

Dr. Bernard’s approach to treatment includes a combination of hands-on manual therapy and exercise to best address each patient’s needs. Above all, he believes in establishing a strong relationship with his patients to work as a team toward their goals.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bernard enjoys spending time outdoors with loved ones, playing guitar, practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and cooking.
