Jana McCarty, BA

Jana became a supporter of physical therapy after an injury on the soccer field.  It was her freshman year of high school when she broke her left femur. After being in traction for a week and then surgery she could not bend her knee and could walk only with a straight leg. Through hard work and excellent coaching from her physical therapist she learned how to regain her strength and mobility and continued her dream of playing soccer all four years at a division one university. It was during this time she earned a B.A. in Health, Science, and Policy from the University of Maryland. She continues her passion for the sport by coaching with her husband and watching her favorite team, Manchester City. She is a mom of two and still loves learning new things, such as online games her son plays or a proper trapeze hold from her daughter.
